Caritas PET Imaging, LLC, was formed to provide positron emission tomography imaging services to five Caritas Christi Health Care member hospitals -- Caritas Norwood Hospital, Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston, Caritas Carney Hospital in Dorchester and Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River.

By using a mobile PET scanner, this group of hospitals became the first hospitals in the Northeast to offer PET imaging.

The sharing of the mobile PET scanner has brought this technology to communities outside of major urban areas that normally would not have access to PET.
